About Us
Brian Benefield
I have spent the last 16 years in the Marine industry. Although not a native of this area, I have lived in Wilmington since 2004. My marine background started at Pages Creek Marine and I have continually progressed my knowledge in the industry. In 2010 I started working at Caison Yachts building Sportfish Boats. Wanting to focus more on restoration work, I started Sooner Marine in 2018.
Sooner Marine has now been open for 2 years and we look forward to providing you high quality work at a fair price. Our focus does not end with restoration work, we also repair and replace decks, stringers and transoms. We build custom consoles, leaning posts and fish boxes. Outside of glass and gel work, we provide all the necessary services to keep your boat running and on the water, to include engine services, bottom paints, details and more.
